“I appreciate jokes and people having a laugh. Certain people can make me laugh more than others. I guess I just appreciate a good joke and having the ability to not take things so seriously. Not all situations need to be joked about, but sometimes it’s nice to make light out of tough times and see the silver lining.”

“Music is definitely something that lifts my mood. If I’m in a really bad state, I go on a run and listen to my “feel good” playlist. For me, I always notice myself smiling when I do that. That’s how I know it works. But it's also really important for me to talk to someone about how I feel. Like calling a friend or family member or something.”

For me, I relieve boredom just by keeping up with the football. I’m an arsenal fan (save your jokes). Call a friend, listen to music. I actually started listening to podcasts which really helped me pass the time. I recommend “my brother, my brother and me”.

“I remember in primary school and some kid brought slime into school. I really wanted to have it and thought that I would be happy if I had it. I feel like it's the same for all the physical things in my life - I always think they will make me happy but they really don’t.”

“When I notice an uncomfortable feeling I always try to write down things I’m grateful for. It doesn't always help. If it doesn’t, I usually call a mate and talk about it. If I still don’t feel great, I just try and sit with it and remind myself that it will pass”

“I find boredom so uncomfortable. Maybe that’s cus of my ADHD.  I write music and play guitar. Netflix my list, or I honestly just re-do my life and organize everything.”

“I think the best skill is learning how to feel okay with uncomfortable feelings. It used to feel like the end of the world when I was having a bad day because I felt like it would never get better. I guess now I am actually okay with it because I have evidence that it passes. I don’t need to change how I feel”
